Where? Weston Museum

Curated by a museum volunteer and working with The Birnbeck Regeneration Trust and North Somerset Council, the exhibition explores the history of Birnbeck Island before the pier, fishing stalls, visiting steamers and the lifeboats. The pavilion and fun fair was its heyday up until the second world war where it was taken over by the Admiralty to become HMS Birnbeck. The exhibition contains a variety of memorabilia lent by the Birnbeck Regeneration Trust’s Archivist. The exhibition will be up until the end of October 2025.
