Ceroc Somerset: Beginner Welcome Evening
Where? Hutton Village Hall
When?
Time: 7.15pm-10.30pm
You’ll arrive to a warm, friendly greeting from our crew, who’ll explain how the evening works, introduce you to a few people, and make sure you feel right at home. Then, you’ll enjoy your very first Ceroc class – a fun, easy-to-follow session where you’ll learn simple moves, rotate partners, and start dancing to music straight away.
After the class, there’s time to practise, grab a drink, and join our venue’s WhatsApp group so you can keep in touch with new friends. You’ll then take part in a relaxed beginner practice session, run by our crew, where you can go over the moves from your first class and build your confidence before your next visit.
No partner needed, no experience necessary and no pressure – just a friendly night out and the start of your dancing journey.
Turn up on the night, or book online in advance to secure your spot. Entry is £10pp.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗰?
Ceroc teaches an exciting modern partner dance that makes learning to dance easy, fun and social. It's a great way to stay active, meet new people and learn an impressive new skill, all whilst being part of a vibrant and welcoming dance community, where the focus is on having a good time!
𝗗𝗼 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿?
Definitely not! We partner up at the start of the class and then rotate around during the class to give everyone a chance to meet and dance with one another. This means you could come with a partner, a friend or come solo!
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿?
Wear whatever you're most comfortable in, and shoes that allow you to move freely (avoid grippy footwear). Feel free to bring a change of top just in case you get hot - Ceroc is exercise after all!
𝗗𝗼 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲?
No way! Ceroc's teaching method makes getting started so easy, we believe that anyone can learn to dance and enjoy it. Adults of all ages and abilities are welcome to join in. There's never any pressure on 'getting it right', just a focus on having fun and spending time with others.
